The splendid medieval village of Cesky Krumlov hosts an extraordinary review that will take you back, for three days, to the era of the Renaissance and the lordship of the last of the Rosenbergs.
The Five Petalled Rose Celebrations is a historic festival that, amidst suggestive and fairytale atmospheres, will make you relive the past and meet the brave knights and blue-blooded nobles. A traditional festival dating back to the times of the noble Rožmberk family. As per tradition, during the month of June, during the three days of celebrations, about 150 shows and programs on ten scenes in the historic center of the city await you.
Over 700 people are involved in the Five Petal Rose Festival. An event that has always fascinated tourists and locals alike. From 1990 to 2019, over 520,000 visitors attended the celebrations. Numbers destined to increase.
In the streets and squares of Cesky Krumlov, knights, merchants and many characters will be on stage ready to challenge each other in tournaments and competitions. There will be historical markets, living chess and a fantastic costumed procession, with famous personalities linked to the history of the city. And, again, historical programs, music, theater, historical dances, historical fencing, jugglers, falconers and fire shows. A really rich program for adults and children.
Cesky Krumlov is the perfect location to make the Five Petal Rose Festival truly magical.

TICKETS FOR SHOWS
To attend the shows you need to buy a special ticket on the official website or directly at the ticket office. In the first case, you can take advantage of the discounted fare (save from €3 to €5 per ticket).
Adults (16 years and over) pay 17€ (300CZK). Children aged 6 to 15, 12€ (200CZK). The family ticket valid for 2 adults and 2 children costs 38€ (800 CZK). Free for all children under 6 years old.
PROGRAM FIVE PETALLED ROSE CELEBRATIONS 2024
There are many events and celebrations planned. For all three days of the Festival, at the great courtyard of Cesky Krumlov Castle, the beautiful HISTORIC MARKET. You’ll find around 130 stalls displaying vintage wares and extraordinary examples of historic craftsmanship. From 10:00 to 21:00. Sunday, closing at 4pm. Free entry.
From 10:00 in the morning, SVORNOSTI SQUARE hosts numerous shows and concerts of gothic, medieval music, and much more. Right in the square, there is the arrival of the Historical procession in costume, one of the most awaited and heartfelt events of the Five Petal Rose Festival.

Shows and tournaments await you in the streets and squares of the city: ŠIROKÁ STREET, HRADEBNÍ STREET and at the Cesky Monastery Krumlov. Among the events not to be missed, the Knights Tournament “Torneo delle Rose“, which recalls the legend of the division of roses. Or, living chess with vivid figures on a 12 x 12 meter chessboard!
Shows, competitions, games and entertainment for the little ones in the BREWERY GARDEN.
The FASHION SHOWS are unmissable events of the Festival. Every day there is a daytime parade, at 3 pm, and a night parade (with fire show) at 9.45 pm. Generally the procession crosses the main streets of Cesky Krumlov: Horní – Main Square Svornosti – Na louži – Široká – Dlouhá – Latrán – Pivovarská Street.
