Dublin Airport, how to get there. Dublin Belfast bus connections Aircoach

Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport is the reference point for air connections for Ireland, with a passenger volume of over 30 million per year (before the Pandemic). This makes it one of the busiest airports in all of Europe! Direct air connections mainly concern international destinations, thanks in particular to low-cost airlines and RyanAir. The Dublin-London route is one of the busiest in the world, with daily connections to all London airports.

If you are traveling with small children, you will find special changing areas near the bathrooms. They are clearly highlighted by the white symbol on a blue background, next to that of the toilets.

The airport is located just 10 kilometers from the Irish capital, from which it is well connected. Inside the 2 Terminals you will find many shopping areas, bars, restaurants, VIP lounges … absolutely nothing is missing, not even the Pharmacy, the Bank and even a small chapel to pray. Both terminals are efficient and equipped with all comforts. The wifi line is free within the entire complex: just connect your device to the DUBLIN NETWORK WI-FI network and you can take advantage of the unlimited connection.

DUBLIN AIRPORT – CENTER CONNECTIONS

External Dublin Airport

The excellent and efficient road service makes up for the lack of a rail link between the airport and the City. There are three buses that operate the service.

If you are interested in saving money, the DUBLIN BUS is for you: at a cost of €2.30, take this cheap bus with departures every 20 minutes. Airlink and Aircoach are, in our opinion, the best solutions. Although they are more expensive than the previous one (one-way rate €7), they allow you to quickly reach the city and the main hotels. You travel aboard modern buses equipped with all comforts: ergonomic seats with electrical sockets, free wifi line for the entire journey.

Buses leave outside the Terminal every 15 minutes and take about half an hour to get to the center. Alternatively, there are taxis, but the prices are quite high: they start from around €20 plus numerous supplements and extras for each piece of luggage, or depending on the time of day.

Our advice is always to prefer public transport to cars and taxis, because they are less polluting.

DUBLIN AIRPORT – BELFAST CONNECTIONS

From the airport, you can reach Belfast by bus.

Translink/Goldline runs daily from Dublin to Belfast via the airport. There are two lines, both in service at the airport Terminal 2. Line X2 runs on the following route: Belfast – Dublin Airport – Dublin. Line X1: Belfast – Sprucefield – Banbridge – Newry – Dublin Airport – Dublin. Tickets cost £9.50 per adult and £5.70 for children. Tickets can be purchased directly on the official website. The service is active every day, from Monday to Sunday.

Aircoach offers modern and comfortable buses, departing from both airport terminals. The journey Belfast – Dublin Airport (bus 705X) takes about 110′. The one-way ticket costs €13.00 per adult and € 8.00 for children aged 5 to 12; round trip, costs €22.00 for adults and €12.00 for children aged 5 to 12. Free for children up to 5 years old. It runs every hour, every day from Monday to Sunday. To find out the timetables and/or buy tickets, you can consult the official website from this link.

*The list is subject to change. All links, updated, can be consulted on the official website. Before leaving, it is recommended to inquire about the provisions and rules on COVID-19 in Ireland, and on the mandatory nature of the Green Pass. Timetables and connections are subject to change.
