Tram and bus de la Cub, better known by the acronym TBC, is the company that manages the public transport network of the city of Bordeaux. Founded in the 2004, it connects, today, in a capillary center, suburbs and neighboring areas, through an integrated and efficient network of buses, trams and boats. It’s really an excellent service for getting around Bordeaux.
The Bordeaux tramway line extends for 77.5km, and a total of 130 stops. With the inauguration of Line D in February 2020, there are currently 4 lines in operation, each identified by a different number and colour. Lines C and D share the exact same route for 9 km. Here is the detail:
The service is guaranteed every day, including holidays, from 05:30 to 00:00.

The rubber net is highly efficient, thanks to the presence of as many as 76 lines, in operation for use throughout the day. Of these, the 13 LIANES (LIgne A Niveau Elevé de Service), stand out for their offer and quality; bus lines, complementary to trams, high frequency, from 10 to 15 minutes.
They operate from 05:00 to midnight (Friday and Saturday until approximately 02:00, depending on the line).
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday the TBNight line is in operation and connects Bordeaux Base sous-marine and Gradignan Village 5 during the night. The line operates from 01:30 to 05:30, with departures every 30′.
BatCub is a river transport system that allows you to move around Bordeaux, in an alternative way. In our opinion, the boats represent a really comfortable and suggestive method to discover the city. The service is active from 07:00 in the morning until 19:00; the boats connect passengers from one bank to the other, from Stalingrad-Parlier, Quinconces-Jean Jaurès, Médoc-Les Hangars, Lormont Bas.
The service is managed by TBM.
There are different types of tickets and passes. The best and cheapest method is the TBC CARD; it is a free and personal card, equipped with a microchip, on which season tickets or tickets can be loaded (minimum 5 card). To obtain the CARTE TBC it is sufficient to go to one of the TBC points in the city, bring an identity document and photo ID. The card can be topped up at TBC points and all vending machines in stations.
Tickets and season tickets are, of course, available in the traditional paper version. All tickets are valid and can be used to travel on buses, trams or boats.
The single journey ticket (A l’unité) costs €1.70 and allows you to travel on bus and tram within an hour of first validation. The 2-trip booklet costs €3, while the 10-trip booklet costs €13.70.
Subscriptions are only available in the one-day version (PASS 1 JOUR) at a cost of €5, or weekly (PASS 7 JOURS), at the convenient price of €14.20. The PASS SOIRÉE is part of the type of season ticket and, at a cost of €2.60, allows make unlimited journeys on vehicles from 19:00 to 07:00 on the following morning .
All passes allow unlimited travel on buses and trams, and use of the PARC-RELAIS included in the price.
To encourage the use of public transport, and to move around Bordeaux without a car, 21 PARC + RELAIS, i.e. parking areas, near as many main tram stops. Parking is free for all those who purchase a TICKETPASS or a PASS SOIRÉE; just enter the Parc-Relais with your own vehicle, GETTING INTO THE ROW ON THE LEFT. Once inside, just buy the season ticket, which you will need to leave the car park later. It should be noted that the PARC-RELAIS observe the same timetables as the trams. If you stay after the established time, you will have to pay a surcharge of €15.

All children under 5 travel free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Children aged 11 to 27 save only by purchasing the weekly pass (€9.90) and the 10-journey booklet (€7.90).
No further reductions are foreseen in the case of a single ticket, for 2 journeys and a 24h pass.
