Basel public transport tickets 2025

To travel around Basel by bus and tram, you must purchase tickets based on your departure and destination zones.
Basel and the surrounding area are divided into zones. Unless you need to travel medium to long distances, you can use tickets for a single zone.

BASEL PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKETS

A single-zone ticket costs 4.20CHF (4.50€) for adults and 2.90CHF (3€) reduced for children under 16. Valid for travel within a single zone within 60 minutes of validation. Basel city center and surrounding areas are all included in Zone 10, so you only need to purchase tickets for a single zone.
