Rijeka Airport is an international airport serving the Croatian city of Rijeka.
It is located in Omišali (Castelmuschio) on the island of Krk, about 25 km away from Rijeka.
About 200,000 visitors pass through here every year. Traffic is almost exclusively limited to the summer period. Most flights are operated by low-cost airlines.
It is not a particularly large airport. Inside you will find only the basic services.

RIJEKA AIRPORT CONNECTIONS
Taxis and cars are the most convenient ways to get around from the Croatian airport.
You can rent a car at the airport, and reach nearby Rijeka in less than half an hour.
By taxi, you can move comfortably, at clear and transparent rates. You can choose between cars with 4 or 8 seats. In this last case, traveling as a group, the cost is really cheap.
For Rijeka, the cost of the journey is 255kn (35€) by taxi from 4, and 355kn (49€) by taxi from 8. For Opatija the cost is 365kn (50€) and 550kn (75€).
Before starting the journey, it is always preferable to check the fare in advance.
BUS
In the low season, the frequency of buses is quite limited. In our opinion, a taxi is preferable, given the savings not particularly evident.
The bus ticket to Rijeka costs 15€ per person.
There are also bus connections to Kralijevica, Omišalj. The ticket costs 8€ per person.
In the high season, the frequency of buses increases, with departures approximately 30 minutes after the arrival of flights.
