Pulkovo airport is an important international airport serving the city of St. Petersburg, which is about 25 km away.
Hub of the Aeroflot company, consists of a single passenger terminal, the T1. A second Terminal T2 is used for VIP members and government officials.
Pulkovo airport, modern and efficient, has numerous shopping areas, ductile-free, bars, food and restaurants with international cuisine. Currently, it hosts over 17 million passengers a year!
Great attention is paid to children and people with reduced mobility. Two play areas, for children up to 12 years old, are located on the third floor of the Departures hall. On the second floor there is the “Mum and Child Room”, with a play area for the little ones (up to 7 years), kitchen and objects for rest. And, moreover, there are numerous areas for children to change.
Those who need special assistance, can request 48 hours before arrival at Pulkovo airport. The airport staff will be happy to help people with reduced mobility from arrival to boarding.

PULKOVO AIRPORT – SAINT PETERSBURG CONNECTIONS
You can easily reach St. Petersburg by bus, taxi or car. When choosing, keep in mind the value of the local currency, because a taxi journey costs around €14 only!
BUS
The station is located 300 meters to the right of the airport Arrivals Hall. Just follow the yellow indications.
Buses 39 and 39ex stop at the Moskovskaya Metro Station. From the latter, the L2 line of St. Petersburg passes.
The 39EX Express Bus makes a direct journey, without making stops, every 25 or 30′. The journey takes about 20 minutes. It runs every day from 05:25 to about midnight and the ticket costs 40RUB (about €0.50)
Bus 39, instead, leaves every 12 and 15 minutes, following the same route as the previous one, but making all the stops along the way. The journey, in this case, takes about 30 minutes and the ticket costs 30RUB.
TAXI
As soon as you exit the airport, on the Arrivals side, First Floor, you will find numerous taxis. Often, even unofficial.
Regular taxis are easily identified by the license and the presence of the taximeter. Always opt for these, and inform yourself in advance of the total cost, including any supplements for luggage.
Rates vary based on distance and type of taxi: economic, standard and business.
A trip to the center of St. Petersburg, in economic means, costs about € 14.
On all taxis you can pay in cash or by credit card. Don’t forget to leave a tip (preferably in cash) of 10-15% of the fare.
Directly at the airport, you can rent a car at one of the numerous agencies present. In our opinion, it is preferable to opt for the taxi, and travel around the city with the convenient public transport.
