TOLL CARD
The best solution, to pay the Portugal Toll. The Tarjeta Peajes, commonly known as the Toll Card, is nothing more than a simple prepaid card, available in cuts from 5, 10, 20 and 40€.
You can conveniently buy it online, on the official website, in the Portuguese post offices, or in the service areas located on the motorway network.
The card is activated comfortably on the official website. Always online, you can consult the balance of the Toll Card at any time. Please note that for each trip, a service charge of approximately 0.30€ will be applied.
From the card, a little less than one euro will be deducted for the activation of the service. For this reason, try to buy a single cut, according to your needs.
EASY TOOL
At first glance, it might seem complicated. In reality, this procedure for pay the Portugal Toll is simpler than it may seem. We need a credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD) and the vehicle number plate.
At the toll booth, follow the appropriate indication. You will find an automatic machine. You enter the credit card, the license plate number, and you get a receipt. The toll will be automatically charged to the card with a surcharge of about one euro for the management costs.
GREEN ROUTE
An electronic device that allows you to avoid queues on the motorway and that automatically detects the passage of your vehicle.
It is, without a doubt, a fast and fast toll payment method in Portugal. However, it involves rental costs and security deposit.
