East Midlands is an international airport located in Leicestershire, not far from the famous Donington Castle. It mainly serves the cities of Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, all less than 35 kilometers away.
The airport is the hub of the low cost airlines Jet2.com and RyanAir, as well as a TUI Airfly base. It is owned by Manchester Airports Group (MAG), one of the UK’s leading groups. East Midlands Airport is one of England’s most important cargo airports, and one of the busiest in the country. In fact, in 2015 it registered approximately 4.5 million passengers.
Inside, numerous shopping areas, bars, restaurants and duty-free areas are available to guests with the “click & collect” service active. The wifi line is available free of charge throughout the building. Just connect your device to the ‘_FreeWifi‘ network to connect up to a maximum of 4 hours.
Do not miss the splendid Aeropark, an extraordinary aviation museum, with a splendid view of the airstrip.

EAST MIDLANDS AIRPORT CONNECTIONS
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Sundays and holidays. The best way to travel to / from East Midlands Airport is Skylink. By choosing to travel with Skylink, you can relax aboard comfortable and modern buses. The service is particularly suitable also for the fairly low prices.
The parking is located outside the terminal.
You can quickly reach Derby, Leicester, Long Eaton, Loughborough and Nottingham. For Nottingham, the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. For Clifton, however, it takes just 25 minutes. there are buses every 30 minutes from 04:00 to about midnight. Tickets can be purchased directly on board the vehicle. Remember to ask the driver when you get on. For Nottingham and Clifton it costs £6.50.
For Derby, however, the ticket costs £4.70 per person. The service is active 24 hours a day.
If your destination is different, the best solution is the train. The PARKWAY train station is located about 8 km from the airport, easily reachable by bus. Arriving at the station, you can reach destinations outside the Region.
