Craiova Airport is a small international airport serving the Romanian city.
It is located about 7 kilometers east of Craiova and is used almost exclusively as a base for Wizz-Air flights.
Around 500,000 passengers pass through here every year.
Rather small in size, it has a single Terminal and a 2500 meter long runway. Inside there are essential services, bar, duty-free, smoking area. The wi-fi line is available free of charge for guests throughout the entire hotel.

CRAIOVA AIRPORT – CITY CONNECTIONS
The airport is located just 7 kilometers from the center of Craiova. You can travel by bus, taxi or, alternatively, by car.
BUS
Outside the terminal there is the bus line 9 station. The service is guaranteed by the local transport company RAT which connects the airport and the center every day (Craiovita Noua, National Theater, METRO).
There are two trips every hour from 05:30 to 20:50 on weekdays, and from 06:00 to 21:30 on non-working days.
You can buy the ticket directly on board the vehicle at a cost of 3 RON. If purchased outside, the ticket costs 2.50 RON per person.
It is undoubtedly the cheapest solution to reach the center.
CAR AND TAXI
Directly at the airport there are some local agencies that offer the possibility of renting a car at fairly advantageous prices.
Alternatively, you will find numerous taxis just outside the arrivals hall. The vehicles are easily recognizable by the illuminated sign and by the presence of the taximeter. Always use the official ones and check in advance the cost of the trip (generally around 2.50 RON per kilometer, in addition to the initial cost of 2.30 RON).
