If you have decided to travel with your animals with Air France … you can sleep peacefully. You can take your faithful friend on board with you, as long as he has had all the mandatory vaccines, and he is at least 15 weeks of age.
The animal must be transported in a container with maximum dimensions of 46 x 28 x 24 cm; or, in a transport case with a maximum size of 46 x 28 x 20 cm. Good ventilation is recommended because the animal will not be able to go outside for the duration of the flight.
For intercontinental flights, you must go to the check-in desk AT LEAST 3 HOURS BEFORE the departure of your flight. For other flights, however, it is necessary to show up AT LEAST 150 MINUTES before the flight.
TRANSPORTATION IN THE CABIN
Each passenger can bring on board only one dog or cat inside the container. The maximum weight allowed is 8 kg including the pet carrier.
In Economy, the container must be stowed under the front seat.
The carriage of animals in the cabin is not permitted on intercontinental business flights.
TRANSPORT IN THE HOLD
All animals weighing between 8 and 75 kg travel in the hold, with the exception of snub-nosed dog breeds, which can only travel (within the weight limits) in the cabin.
Each passenger can carry up to 3 animals in the hold (the number can be reduced depending on the aircraft)
