With a really small and concentrated centre, the best way for getting around Caserta is undoubtedly on foot.
All the main monuments of the city are located within a short distance from each other: churches, Duomo, Royal Palace.
A very different matter if you want to visit the surrounding beauties and UNESCO heritage sites, which can only be reached by car or bus.

If you arrive by train you will have no difficulty getting around on foot. The train station, in fact, is located in the center, just 10 minutes away from the palace and the historic center.
Similar speech even if you arrive by car. The advice is to park as close as possible to the center and, from here, move on foot.
As mentioned, public transport is preferable exclusively to reach sites further from the center such as the Belvedere di San Leucio complex or Casertavecchia.
Otherwise, you will hardly travel by bus.
AirCampania takes care of local public transport. The urban lines operate every day, including Sundays and holidays.
Tickets can be purchased from authorized resellers or, alternatively, directly on board the vehicle. The price varies based on distance.
