Balice – Krakow Airport is an international airport located about 11 km west of Krakow, in the small village of Balice. It is the second busiest airport in Poland, and is instilled to John Paul II. The airport has two Terminals: the T1 and the T2. The former is used for international flights while the second is used for domestic flights.

Moving from Krakow airport to the center is quite easy. You can choose between bus, train, car or taxi the solution that best suits your needs
The most practical and convenient way to reach the center of Krakow. The train station is easily identifiable, located near the passenger terminal, at the rear of the multi-storey car park. The train connects Krakow airport with the Central Railway Station, continuing to Wieliczka (and reverse direction).
The journey to reach the center takes just under 20 minutes. The ticket costs 17PLN for Central Station and 21PLN for Wieliczka. Tickets can be purchased at numerous vending machines and merchants. Alternatively, you can also buy the ticket on board only in cash. The transport of luggage is free.
The train is perfectly accessible for people with reduced mobility.
You can arrive by bus, in the center of Krakow. Every day, outside the Terminal, buses leave for the central railway station and for the main bus station.
During the day, you can use lines 209 and 300, with frequencies of approximately 30 minutes. Line 902 is in service during the night.
To use the means, you will need to purchase a single-journey ticket from 6.00PLN (60′ from validation) at the machines and authorized merchants. You can also purchase day and week tickets for one or two zones. Always remember to validate your ticket before embarking on your journey.
Outside the terminal, many taxis are stationed, useful for reaching Krakow and other Polish destinations.
Taxis have standard fares, not overly expensive. Sometimes, traveling in more people, it could even be recommended. For distances up to 4.9 km from Krakow Airport, in one zone, the fare is 29PLN (7€). For distances up to 9.9km, in two zones, the fare is 49.00PLN (€12). And so on, up to 6 zones between 25 and 28km, where the applied fare is 149PLN (37€)
Alternatively, directly from numerous agencies at Krakow airport, you can rent a car and reach any destination in Poland.
