Prague public transport tickets

Thanks to the integrated charging system, it is possible to travel to Prague with the same ticket, regardless of the vehicle chosen. Individual tickets can be purchased for short and medium / long-distance journeys or passes valid for one or three days.

PRAGUE PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKETS

Here are the main tickets valid for public transport in the Czech capital:

  • Krátkodobá. Ticket for short trips and for the funicular. It is valid for 30 minutes from the moment it is validated. It costs 30Kč (1.20€).
  • Základní. Medium-long distance travel ticket. It is valid for 90 minutes from the moment it is validated. The standard version 40Kč (1.60€).
  • 1 den. Daily ticket. It allows you to make unlimited journeys on all public transport (included Petrin funicular), within 24 hours. It costs 120Kč (4.80€).
  • 3 dny. Pass valid for 3 days. It allows you to make unlimited journeys on all means of public transport (included Petrin funicular), within 72 hours. It costs 330Kč (13.20€) per adult. Only for this type there are no reduced versions.

People aged between 60 and 65 and people with reduced mobility pay the discounted rate of 50%. Children up to 15 and adults aged 66 and over have access for FREE.

To travel on the historic trams (Lines 41 and 42) and the Airport Express AE line, you need to buy special tickets. Information and prices are available in the individual sections.

The 24- and 72-hour passes are also valid for traveling on the Petrin funicular. The 30- or 90-minute ticket, however, is not valid on the funicular.

WHERE TO BUY PRAGUE PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKETS

Tickets are valid for all means of transport, including buses for lines to/from the airport. They can be purchased at the yellow machines present in the underground stations and in the main bus and tram stops; in addition, they can be purchased at newsstands and agencies displaying the sign. On board, on most of the vehicles, it is possible to pay by credit card in CONTACTLESS mode.

24 and 72h passes can be purchased online and on the official Lítačka app, available for iOS and Android.
