Noto, splendid capital of the Baroque in Sicily, Italy. How to get

Noto

Welcome to the capital of the baroque!
Noto, a city of ancient origins, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in all of Sicily.

Its charming historic center was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2002. An award that also includes 7 other late-Baroque cities: Caltagirone, Catania, Militello, Modica, Palazzolo Acreide, Ragusa and Scicli.

The Royal Gate is the beautiful “visiting card” of the city. Crossing its historic center you can admire period buildings, churches and religious monuments, scenic squares.
Famous are its beautiful stairways, all decorated, and continuously immortalized by visitors on social channels.
All elements that fit harmoniously with each other.

Art, history and, of course, gastronomy. We are still in Sicily. The ideal place where flavor meets tradition.

Noto

The city is also perfect to combine a beach holiday, thanks to its beautiful coastline where small rocky inlets alternate with long stretches of sand.

HOW TO GET TO NOTO

The ideal method to reach the Sicilian city is with your own vehicle, preferably the car.
In this way, in addition to admiring the splendid city, you can easily reach the beautiful adjacent places such as Vendicari.

Noto is located in the southernmost area of Sicily and Italy.
From Syracuse it takes about 45 minutes to reach your destination. Times and distances almost double, however, to arrive from Catania.

AIRPLANE

The closest airport is Catania-Fontanarossa, located about 90 kilometers away.
From here, the car is preferable due to the rather limited connections. From the airport, in fact, you have to reach Syracuse by bus and then change vehicles.

From Palermo Airport, however, the distance is about 300 kilometers, for a journey that exceeds 4 hours.
