Enrico Forlanini, inventor and aviation pioneer, is the official name of the Lombard airport, better known as Milan Linate. It is an important international airport, located near the small town of Peschiera Borromeo, near Linate, about 8 kilometers east of Milan.
It is the second city airport, as well as the fourth Italian airport for passenger traffic. It has two runways and a single Terminal where only national flights and short-haul European connections are conveyed. Numerous bars, restaurants, shopping areas are available to travelers. In addition, the interesting Shop & Collect service is active: buy everything you want, and collect when you return from vacation.
Recent renovations, completed in March 2021, have made the airport even more efficient and state-of-the-art. The last step of the tailor’s work is the inauguration of the M4 underground line which will have its own Milan Linate Airport as its terminus.
