The invitation letter to Russia is one of the most confusing documents.
This is a mandatory document to go to the country, ISSUED BY A HOST COMPANY.
This body can also be the hotel where you are staying. But it should not be confused with the booking receipt.
After receiving the invitation letter to Russia, make sure it contains the following:
The letter must be requested directly and specifically to the host organization.
For study trips, a request must be made at the university. For work, it must be requested from the company where you will be working.
For leisure travel, to the hotel where you are staying.
Some hotels issue the letter directly, a few days after booking. For many others, it will be YOUR CARE to request it.
Before booking, contact the hotel for costs.
If you book through the Tourist Agency, generally, it should be the latter that takes care of the request.
The document is generally free, and included in the rate of the facility where you will be staying.
Often, however, several hotels charge an additional fee for the release. The price should be around €20 or €30, but it is not unlikely that anyone could ask for more.
Always make sure, before booking the hotel, how much the costs are.
