Go to Estonia. Best time for the holidays. Top and worst month.

Go to Estonia

The northernmost of the Baltic countries is characterized by a south-continental climate, extremely cold in winter, and mild and fairly hot summers.

The climate is fairly uniform, however, on the western coastal slope, the cold is less pungent than elsewhere. Tallin, and the northern coast, divided by the narrow Gulf of Finland, is instead particularly cold, with frequent frosts in the winter period.

Winter, in fact, is particularly cold, and far from ideal for going to Estonia. The days are particularly short, especially in December. Temperatures are steadily below zero, with peaks up to over -30 degrees. It is best to pack extremely warm clothes and woolen underwear!

Best period to go to Estonia

Summer is, instead, one of the most pleasant times to go to Estonia, thanks to the mild climate. Attention only to the rains that, in summer, occur quite frequently.
To those who left during this period, we recommend fresh clothes for the day, and sweatshirt for the evening, with a definite temperature range.
The water temperatures, in the middle of August, record an average of 18 degrees: the bath is recommended for those who are not allergic to the cold of the sea.
Autumn is a gray and rainy season. Spring, on the other hand, sees days get longer and temperatures gradually rise.

Through our κ index, we provide an assessment for every single month. In this way, you can evaluate the best time when going to Estonia on vacation.

TOP MONTH TO GO TO ESTONIA

July and June are the favorite months for a holiday in Estonia. The days get longer, and the temperatures are extremely pleasant for visiting the cities. Only attention to possible precipitation, less frequent, however, than August. It is recommended to keep an umbrella, or raincoats.
In December, despite the cold, Tallin remains a fascinating and suggestive half, with the magic of Christmas

MONTH FLOP

February and November are the least suitable months to go to Estonia on vacation. The first is the coldest month of the year, with particularly short days.
November is a rather sad and stingy month of events, with a gloomy and always gray sky. Better to avoid it, to avoid being infected by melancholy!
