Like every year, Tripadvisor, a popular review site for restaurants, hotels and tourist destinations, has put together the opinions of all its users on museums around the world. Reviews of the last 365 days have been collected based on quality and quantity. And here is the 2016 Travelers ’Choice Museums, or, the ranking of the Best Museums 2016 in the world.
Also this year, the highest step goes to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, which repeats last year’s success. At the base of the success, in addition to the rich offer, the extraordinary location and a truly wonderful Skyline. The MET precedes the Art Institute of Chicago and the Hermitage of St. Petersburg.

Located on the bank of the Saltsjön, this seventeenth-century galleon, known as Admiral Vasa, collapsed in 1628 during his maiden voyage, has now been perfectly restored.
Vasamuseet, one of the most visited in Scandinavia, in which objects found on the ship are still intact, as well as an icebreaker of the 20th century, and a firefighting ship in service until 1969.

The museum was set up, starting in 1977, inside an old railway station that had been out of use for years and which had even been thought to be demolished. The transformation of the station into a museum and the restoration of the building was entrusted to Renaud Bardon, Pierre Colboc and Jean-Paul Philippon.
03 Hermitage – Saint Petersburg – Russia
This is one of the symbolic places of the city. The square in front of the main entrance of this spectacular and majestic building was the scene of the winning battle led by Alexander I against Napoleon. Built between 1754 and 1762 to a design by the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli as the winter residence of the tsars, this magnificent palace stands between the banks of the Neva river and the Piazza del Palazzo.
