Anno 1972. Los Angeles. Sunset Blvd. Il Rainbow Bar And Grill è uno dei club più rinomati della città, vero e proprio punto di riferimento per tutti gli artisti che si trovavano in città. Anche solo di passaggio.
È un anno di grandi produzioni. Neil Young pubblica Harvest, uno dei suoi migliori lavori. I Deep Purple partoriscono il sontuoso “Machine Head”, che, di lì a poco, diventerà un punto di riferimento del l’hard rock. L’indimenticabile David Bowie dà alla luce “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars”.
Quello stesso anno, al primo piano del Rainbow Bar And Grill, nasce “The Hollywood Vampires”, un club fondato da un certo Alice Cooper. Tra i membri: Keith Moon, Ringo Starr, Micky Dolenz e Harry Nilsson. Non mancavano, però, membri occasionali: John Lennon, Keith Allison, John Belushi, e tanti altri ancora.
Tutti, sono ben accetti in questo simpatico ed esclusivo club, purché animati da una sola ed unica causa: l’adorazione verso sua maestà l’alcool. Si beve, infatti, all’inverosimile!
Circa 40 anni dopo, nel tentativo di rievocarne i fasti, nasce il gruppo rock “Hollywood Vampires”, con Alice Cooper alla voce, Johnny Depp e Joe Perry alla chitarra. Nel 2015, il gruppo pubblica l’omonimo album di debutto, al quale prendono parte nomi altisonanti del panorama musicale internazionale. Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, Slash, Brian Johnson, Christopher Lee.
L’album, nonostante si componga quasi esclusivamente di cover, è davvero bello e godibile. A partire dalla splendida copertina, in stile libro antico. Il tour, è altrettanto piacevole. Al terzetto, si aggiungono i due Guns N’Roses, Matt Sorum e Duff McKagan!
TOUR 2018
Da fine Maggio, avrete l’occasione di assistere dal vivo, In Europa, ad un concerto degli Hollywood Vampires. Germania, Repubblica Ceca, Svizzera… avrete solo l’imbarazzo della scelta. Tra le nostre preferite, sicuramente il Prague Rocks 2018 e, soprattutto, Il Tollwood Sommerfestival 2018. Proprio quest’ultimo rappresenta un’ottima soluzione. Buona musica, arte, spettacoli, mercati e gastronomia e, sullo sfondo, la bellissima Monaco di Baviera, tutta da scoprire.

It is a year of great productions. Neil Young publishes Harvest, one of his best works. Deep Purple give birth to the sumptuous “Machine Head”, which, a little later, will become a reference point for hard rock. The unforgettable David Bowie gives birth to “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars”.

That same year, on the first floor of the Rainbow Bar And Grill, was born “The Hollywood Vampires”, a club founded by a certain Alice Cooper. Among the members: Keith Moon, Ringo Starr, Micky Dolenz and Harry Nilsson. However, occasional members were not missing: John Lennon, Keith Allison, John Belushi, and many others.
Everyone is welcome in this nice and exclusive club, as long as they are animated by one and only cause: the adoration towards his majesty the alcohol. In fact, it is drunk to capacity!
About 40 years later, in an attempt to evoke its glories, the rock group “Hollywood Vampires” was born, with Alice Cooper on vocals, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry on guitar. In 2015, the group publishes the eponymous debut album, which includes high-sounding names from the international music scene. Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, Slash, Brian Johnson, Christopher Lee.
The album, despite being composed almost exclusively of covers, is really beautiful and enjoyable. Starting from the splendid cover, in antique book style. The tour is just as pleasant. To the trio, add the two Guns N’Roses, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan!
HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES TOUR 2018
From the end of May, you will have the opportunity to attend live, in Europe, a concert by Hollywood Vampires. Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland … you will be spoiled for choice. Among our favorites, definitely the Prague Rocks 2018 and, above all, The Tollwood Sommerfestival 2018. This last one represents an excellent solution. Good music, art, shows, markets and gastronomy and, in the background, the beautiful Munich, to be discovered.
