Visby International Airport is the reference point for connections with Gotland, the large Swedish island in the Baltic Sea.
It is located about 4 km north of the beautiful Visby, the main town on the island.
Like the city, Visby Airport also comes alive in the summer, concentrating, precisely in this period, the largest volume of passenger traffic, for a total of about 500,000 per year (before the Pandemic!).
Visby Airport has only one small Terminal where there is a duty-free service. The wifi line is available FREE for the first three hours, for all airport guests. Just connect, with your device, to the “Airport-Guest” network.

Direct flights to Gothenburg, Malmö and Stockholm are guaranteed all year round. Some international routes, on the other hand, are active only during the summer months. Here are the direct connections* with Visby Airport:
SPAIN: Palma de Mallorca.
SWEDEN: Stockholm-Arlanda, Stockholm-Bromma, Gothenburg, Malmö.
By renting a car, bus or taxi you can easily move around the island.
Avis, Europcar and several rental agencies have their own offices within the Swedish airport. The number of cars is not particularly high, especially in summer, given the strong demand.
Better to book directly online well in advance.
Flygbussarna offers fast connections throughout the country, including the Swedish island. Every day, in conjunction with the flights, there are connections with the Port of Visby. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes.
Region Gotland offers bus connections within the Swedish island. You can reach major destinations including Visby Airport.
Line 61 connects the villages of Lärbro and Kappelshman with Visby via Stenkyrka. The terminus is Visby Busstation, the central bus station from which, once you arrive, you can reach other destinations. In some time slots, line 61 ends the service in Visby hamnterminal, or the Port.
The journey from Lärbro (north of the island) to Visby airport takes just under an hour

Taxis aren’t exactly cheap. Generally they are stationed at the airport according to the flight schedule.

Discounted rate after 10 kilometers.
Always make sure in advance of the rate applied, and always remember to ask the receipt.
All taxis are easily identifiable. The taximeter is well visible inside.
