Whether you are traveling for two or more days, there are many activities and visits not to be missed. Among charming squares, charming districts, bridges, walk along the riverside and visits to the cellars, you’ll be spoiled for choice. One of the absolutely must-see experiences during your holiday is the Porto Tram City Tour. The city, in fact, boasts the presence of an ancient tramway line, which dates back to 1872. Today, you will be able to retrace three fascinating and suggestive itineraries, on board the cars of the years 20, 30 and 40. The vehicles, of course, have all been refurbished, according to the highest and most stringent safety criteria. Without, however, distorting their appearance. With the Porto Tram City Tour you will feel like going back in time. An absolutely fascinating journey. PRACTICAL INFO PORTO TRAM CITY TOUR LINES STCP, manages the two tram lines. This is the same company that deals with the local bus network. The lines 1 and 18 make distinct itineraries.LINE 1 offers the most fascinating route, branching out from the historic center of Porto along the banks of the Douro, and then reach the ocean. It is nicknamed “Riverside Line”.Last stop, in the historical center, is Infant; the stop is near the Medieval Tower of Riboleira. The tram arrives at the gardens of Passeio Allegre. From here, in a few minutes, you reach the wonderful Lighthouse of Felgueiras, the last outpost before the ocean. Spectacular, especially at sunset! TRAM 18 is the least frequented of the Porto Tram City Tour and, for this reason, could be a valid alternative in case you find long queues at other stops. The so-called “Restore Line” follows the route from Massarelos to Carmo. TIMETABLES AND TICKETS PRICE PORTO TRAM 2025 The lines are active every day, including holidays and Sundays.Line 1 runs from 09:00 to 20:35 from Infante; from 09:23 to 20:03 from Passeio Alegre. The frequencies are approximately 20 minutes.Line 18 runs from 09:45 to 18:45 from Carmo and from 10:10 to 18:10 from Passeio Alegre, with frequencies of 30 minutes. To travel on the 3 trams you will need to buy specific tickets because only the monthly passes are valid! The ticket for a one-way trip costs 6€ for adults and €3.50 for child, and can be purchased directly on board the vehicle. Alternatively, you can buy the 2 DIAS ticket, at a cost of 12€ for adults, and 6€ for children; you can make unlimited travel on all Tram Porto, for two consecutive days. ADVICE Line 1 of the Porto Tram is the most touristic and popular. Where possible, avoid peak times and late Sundays. If not, you’ll have to respectfully queue up, and wait your turn! *All information is purely indicative and should not be considered official. Timetables and prices may be subject to change. Best museums attractions Tram Prague Every self-respecting major capital has a means of public transport with a purely tourist vocation. Berlin, Budapest and Lisbon are important examples. Prague is certainly no exception. Line 22 and the NOSTALGIC LINES are excellent solutions for those who want to get around the city and enjoy unique views and panoramas, without spending a fortune. It’s like being on board a Hop On Hop Off Bus, with really affordable prices. A journey along nostalgic lines represents a real “dive into the past”. You can travel aboard vintage trams, with all the tools and safety features of today. These “nostalgic lines” connect the most important and tourist destinations in the center of the capital, with a system similar to the Hop On Hop Off bus. Two historic trams are currently in service PRAGUE HISTORIC TRAMS Line 41 runs in Spring and Summer, every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, from Vozovna Střešovice to Výstaviště Holešovice. Runs every hour starting from 12.02pm (first run) to 5.02pm (last run) from Vozovna Střešovice; from 1pm to 5pm from Výstaviště Holešovice. The ticket for a single journey costs 100CZK (4€) per adult and 60CZK (2.40€) for children up to 15 years old, disabled people and those over 65. You can also use the daily ticket for Tram 42. Line 42 operates from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:00. All trams depart and arrive from the Dlabačov stop. The frequency is 30 minutes and the total journey takes approximately 45 minutes. To use both trams you will have to purchase a special ticket from authorized ohm vendors, alternatively, on board the vehicle, paying in cash or contactless card. To use the trams you will have to purchase a special ticket for the whole day, at a cost of 400CZK (around €16) per adult and 200CZK reduced (children from 4 to 15 years and over 65). The ticket allows you to travel unlimitedly throughout the day on lines 41 and 42. NOT VALID ON OTHER MEANS OF THE CITY. From this link you can purchase the day ticket for the two nostalgic lines. Please note: Prague public transport tickets are not valid on lines 41 and 42! TRAM LINES 22 AND 23 PRAGUE Prague Tram lines 22 and 23 represent the best and most economical solution for visiting the city and having an excellent point of view of the main monuments and places of interest. All you have to do is sit comfortably on board your tram. Furthermore, to travel you can use normal transport tickets, including 24 and 72 hour passes. Tram 22 Prague runs every day, from Monday to Sunday, from approximately 04:30 until midnight. The tram follows one of the most scenic routes in the city: Bilá Hora – Vypich – Nádraží Strašnice – Nádraží Hostivař. Line 23 connects Královka to Zvonařka, and runs every day from approximately 07:50 to 18:50, with departures every 30 minutes. The 2 routes pass through symbolic places and monuments of the city including the National Theater, the Belvedere and the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge. You can freely decide whether to get off or continue your journey. Obviously, since these are extremely tourist vehicles, it is very unlikely to be able to find a free seat. We recommend avoiding peak times and opting to depart from one of the two terminals. These small measures could be fundamental to being able to get a seat in the front row, in front of a window. *All that is contained herein is for purely indicative purposes only and should not be considered official. This is the blue Tram, dated 1901 which, over the years, has managed to maintain its original appearance. Furthermore, the tram almost entirely follows the ancient route that winds from the Avinguda Tibidabo stop of Line 7 of the FGC metro. To date, it is one of the last examples of the ancient Spanish tram system, together with the Tranvía de Sóller, on the island of Majorca. The tram leads to the Tibidabo Funicular stops which allow you to reach the top of the mountain of the same name. Thanks to the Tramvia Blau, you can cross places of absolute charm. From CosmoCaixa (Museu de la Ciència), to the Parc d’atraccions del Tibidabo. And, again, the Temple del Sagrat Cor, the Torre de comunicacions de Collserola and the Observatori Fabra. The Tramvia Blau is used almost exclusively by tourists. Not infrequently, however, Catalan families advance on the line to reach the park with the Tibidabo funicular. Tickets, timetable, route Tram 28 Lisbon Share on facebook Share on pinterest Share on twitter Are you looking for a very special way to visit Lisbon? Then tram 28 Lisbon is for you. The so-called TRAM REMODELADO are yellow cars from 1930, obviously with modern safety systems; however, they combine the charm of tradition, with the uncomfortable shiny wooden benches to sit down, and the original dials. If you avoid peak times, perhaps by entering very early in the morning or late in the evening, you may be able to find a window seat; in this case all you have to do is make yourself comfortable (so to speak!) and, at the cost of a simple bus ride, you can take a panoramic tour of the whole of Lisbon. From the terminus in Martin Moniz, the tram climbs through the alleys of the popular neighborhoods to Graça, offering a wonderful view over the entire Baixa. Then you go down on Rua da Voz do Operaio, passing through S. Vicente de Fora, Feira da Ladra and finally you arrive at the ancient city gate: Portas do Sol. You then move on to the beautiful Alfama district, stop at the splendid Cathedral , the Sè and then off, ready to go up the streets of Chiado, the Barrio Alto and, therefore, the Basilica da Estrela. The final stop and terminus is the Campo Ourique district, where Pessoa spent his last years, near the Cemetery dos Prazeres. A truly incredible experience, in a hustle and bustle of ups and downs, almost as if you were on a carousel! PRACTICAL INFO TICKETS TRAM 28 LISBON The single-ride ticket (Elétricos) costs €3.00 and can be used for the entire route. It can also be purchased on board the Tram. On the Tram, you can also use the integrated Carris/metro ticket from 6.40 € valid 24 hours on all means, including the metro. The tram is included with the LISBOA CARD!
