On each float, up to 100,000 flowers are thrown by the models. The realization of the installations is the result of a meticulous work of real artists. The Illuminated Carnival Courses represent another unmissable appointment of the Nice Carnival. Every evening, all the floats are illuminated and the parades light up the heart of Nice with a thousand lights. Guaranteed magic and atmosphere. Feathers. Sequins. What to do Thanksgiving Day USA 2025 WHERE: New York, United StatesWHEN: 27th November 2025 The Thanksgiving Day USA is one of the traditional festivals deepest in the United States. Especially loved by both Americans and tourists. It occurs every year, during the fourth Thursday of November. Similarly, the traditional celebration also occurs in Canada, the first Monday of October. The Thanksgiving Day USA is a celebration of Christian origin. It is an act of gratitude to God for the harvest, and as received during the past year. It is a ceremony that has very deep roots in time. We need to return, in fact, the year 1621, when the Pilgrim Fathers, persecuted in their England, decided to migrate to the United States. Here, in spite of expectations, they found an extremely arid and infertile land. After a long period of hardship, hunger and death, they found a valid contribution in the Native Americans. The latter, taught him the techniques of cultivation of maize and animal breeding, and in particular of Turkey, today, symbol of the anniversary. Americans love this festival. It’s the perfect time to invite friends and relatives and consume, all together, the fateful lunch on Thanksgiving Day USA. A prayer ritual, and then everyone on the fly very juicy turkey (usually roasted), pumpkin pies, mashed potatoes and other traditional dishes. Tourists, on the other hand, can admire the many Institutional parades, or purely goliardic, organized in all the cities of America. The most interesting is undoubtedly the one that takes place in New York. Macy’s, the famous brand of American department stores, organizes allegorical and fun floats throughout Manhattan where millions of people assist you. All the shops and streets of the city are decorated with Christmas lights; giving life to one of the most incredible shows in the world! The event also marks the start of the shopping week. Then, continue along Central Park West to Columbus Circle, where the long serpentine of people will deviate on Broadway through Times Square to end, finally, on 34th Street, where there are Macy’s stores. Chiang Mai and Sukhotai, in Thailand, are the best known places; the ceremony, however, also takes place in Burma, Laos and Cambodia. The latter, therefore, can be a valid alternative to the most famous Thai cities. The Loi Krathong, celebrated throughout Thailand, is a ceremony in which water is the predominant element. Its original name means “Floating Basket”. The Krathong, in fact, are baskets made mostly with flowers and banana leaves. Often, there are some facts of other material, such as bread; it is always and in any case of biodegradable substances. The baskets, in fact, containing candles, incense, and even food or coins, are floated on the water. Photo ©, Klim Levene The party begins in the evening, when everyone congregates on the banks of the river with their own Krathong. In an almost surreal silence, everyone turns on their candle in the basket, letting it float along the river. Everything lights up. A real sign of devotion towards the Buddha. Leaving the basket to float, one wants to symbolize the abandonment of misfortune and negativity.
