Best events in USA Burning Man 2025 WHERE: Black Rock City, Nevada, United StatesWHEN: from 24th August to 01st September 2025 Black Rock City is a kind of ghost town, located in the expanse of the Black Rock Desert in the State of Nevada. Every year, for just eight days, it is populated by thousands of individuals, becoming a sort of temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-confidence. A place of creativity where everyone is welcome. Burning Man takes place in this “no man’s land”, an event which, in terms of characteristics and expression, is unique on the whole planet. An incredible event that, over the years, is finding more and more success. Even VIPs and tycoons have not escaped the charm of this extraordinary event. The name of the festival, which literally means “human torch”, comes from the Saturday night ritual, when a wooden puppet is burned. No concert or event with recall names, and no events advertised mediately. Each participant can organize exhibitions, art exhibitions, workshops, performances, games and entertainment, possibly signaling them to the organizers. Freedom is the keyword.Freedom of expression, of initiative … This is the Burning Man. Thus, it is quite easy to see walking men or women completely naked or in particular clothes. It is, as mentioned, a very unusual and unconventional festival; for this reason, except for coffee and ice (the only things for sale inside the temporary city) there is nothing, because everyone has to provide by himself bringing tent, food, water, generators and so on. And if someone had not brought it? In the city, donation and bartering are allowed (in extreme cases you could even get to offer your body in exchange for a nice shot of rum !!!). Cell phones do not work here, and some sudden sandstorms may occur; during the day the temperatures exceed 40 ° C and at night they can drop by several tens of degrees; for this reason, most events take place after sunset. Finally, remember that all video / photo equipment must be registered at the entrance and, for some shows, shooting is prohibited. Many argue that only those who have been there can really understand Burning Man. Probably true expression, even if, in recent years, the very essence of the festival is slowly fading away. Just take a look at the real mobile homes of the rich who stop here, complete with a starred chef! Once landed, you can rent a car to continue your journey. Through our official page, you can book your vehicle at a special discounted rate. Interstate I-80 will, in all likelihood, be your faithful traveling companion. GPS coordinates to reach Black Rock City are: 40 ° 45’13.83 “N, 119 ° 16’37.20” W. SHOPPING  |  CONTACT  |  NEWS  |  SUBSCRIBE ENG   ITA   ESP ENG   ITA   ESP Salvation Mountain, Slab City, California. What to do and see, how to get Salvation Mountain Share on facebook Share on pinterest Share on twitter Slab City, California is a place far from the usual. Once a military base, today it is a kind of village forgotten by God, without rules and without laws. Literally. Nomads. Hippie. Anyone who wants to escape from civilization and schemes, takes refuge in these parts. Not far from here rises Salvation Mountain, an incredible artificial mountain, with incredibly bright colors. American rockers Kyuss have immortalized it on their LPs. The place was also the set of some scenes of the feature film “Into the Wild”. It even appears in video game scenes. A cross and the words “God is Love” stand out at the top. This is the message that Leonard Knight wanted to leave to posterity, to whom we owe the monument. A mission of faith, love and hope. Knight would have spent his entire life building Salvation Mountain. A meticulous work, using any material at one’s disposal: straw, earth, bricks, concrete, telephone poles …. What appears today is a place of a thousand colors, including symbols, hearts and beautiful flowers. PRACTICAL INFO HOW TO GET TO SALVATION MOUNTAIN The place is located on Beal Rd, Calipatria, California, just over 100km from Palm Springs, and about a two and a half hour drive from San Diego. The latter is an excellent base for an excursion to the mountains. Especially for the distance from LAX, the Los Angeles international airport, one of the busiest in the United States. Take Interstate 10 and CA-111S. The total journey is about 200 miles, with a travel time of around 3 hours. From San Diego, however, travel along Interstate I-8, continuing on CA-111 N, for a total of approximately 150 miles. PRICES AND TIMES Access to Salvation Mountain is free. Today, the place is run by an association of volunteers: an offer at will would not be bad. Admission is allowed every day, including Sundays and holidays, from sunrise to sunset. WHAT TO DO AND SEE The visit of the place does not involve a particular expenditure of energy and effort, nor too much time. Through the marked path, you can reach the top and take beautiful photos. The mountain is particularly beautiful, with its bright colors. There isn’t much to see. In our opinion, it could be an excellent base for an excursion to combine with nearby Galleta Meadows. The latter offers a set of spectacular sculptures in the middle of the desert. It is about an hour and a half drive from Salvation Mountain.
