The 14th edition will focus on the theme “LEGACY,” the continuation of family traditions, shared memories, and customs. A fantastical journey through twenty light artworks, with which artists will offer their personal interpretations of this specific theme. PROJECTS AND INSTALLATIONS 2025 Even at the 14th edition of the festival, light and lighting become art. Artists, architects and designers from all corners of the planet bring their works and installations during this festival. Many works are made exclusively for Amsterdam Light Festival. This is why the festival is truly an unmissable event. There will be special initiatives. TOUR ON THE WATER 2025 All the charm and suggestion of Amsterdam Light Festival, from a unique and magical perspective. The boat tour offers you the opportunity to discover the most beautiful installations on board a comfortable boat. You can choose a cruise of approximately 75 minutes aboard a heated boat, with an audio guide or, alternatively, a cruise on an open boat. Don’t worry: you will be provided with blankets to warm up !!! The cruises are offered exclusively by the official partners of the event. Alternatively, those who have their own boat can follow an “ad hoc” itinerary. AMSTERDAM LIGHT WALK 2025 All installations can be admired for FREE, along the various well-marked routes. Anyone wishing to know in detail the history of each installation, the artist and the “behind the scenes” work of each work, can do so with an audio guide and through the Official APP (for iOS and Android) at a cost of 6.99€. TIMETABLES AND TICKETS 2025 The festival runs continuously from Thursday 27th November 2025 to Sunday 18th January 2026. Turning on the lights, every day, from 16:00 o’clock, until 23:00. The only exception is New Year’s Eve, with the shutdown set for 20:00. To admire the installations you will not have to pay any ENTRANCE TICKETS. The cruises last approximately 75 minutes, with departures every 30 minutes, from 17:00 to 21:30. The ticket, for adults, costs 29.75€ per person. Children aged 4 to 12 pay the reduced rate of 50%. Free for children under 3. Anyone wishing to travel the route with their own boat will have to pay a fee of 10€. WHERE TO SLEEP Amsterdam is one of the most popular cities in the world. BARCOLANA 2025 PROGRAM There are really numerous events that will thrill sailors and visitors. The highlight, of course, will be Sunday 12th October with B57, the Historical Regatta in the Gulf of Trieste, from 10:30. The starting point is fixed between Barcola and Miramare.Here are some events not to be missed during the festival. Saturday 11th, at the Molo Audace – Bacino San Giusto, there will be the historic Regatta By Night Slam Cup, starting at around 7 pm. An evening show, along the docks, absolutely unmissable. Barcolana Village 57, is the ground-based event par excellence, with an area of over 25,000 m² along the banks of Trieste, and about 200 exhibitors. The exhibition spaces will be open to the public for the entire duration of the event, starting from Saturday 04th October 2025. TICKETS 2025 Barcolana Experience is the best way to enjoy the 2025 edition. Novalja is just over 4 kilometers away. The more daring might consider walking the distance (about 50 minutes). For all “mere mortals” it is possible to use the convenient shuttle bus (including VIP) or a taxi. For the latter the price is around €15/20, to be agreed upon in advance. The shuttle bus makes numerous daily connections to/from Zrce Beach from morning until late at night. 3, 4, 5 or 7-day passes are available that allow unlimited travel for the chosen duration.
