The new house of the “Colchoneros” was inaugurated the 16 Settembre 2017, with the Atletico Madrid-Malaga game, resolved by a col by Antoine Griezmann.
The new stadium is located in the eastern suburbs of the city, in the San Blas-Canillejas district, and is named after the main sponsor of the complex.
The Wanda Metropolitano is an extremely modern, comfortable facility, with a capacity of approximately 68000 spectators. Incredibly technological, it is equipped with an extraordinary LED lighting system, unique in its kind, with spectacular plays of light.

The Wanda Metropolitano is located in Avinguda de Luis Aragonés 4, in the outskirts east of Madrid.
The stadium is located approximately 10 kilometers from the center of the capital, and just under 6km from the international airport.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT CONNECTIONS
The sports complex is easily accessible by public transport. By metro, with the 7 line, get off at the Estadio Metropolitano stop, a few minutes from the stadium. The stops of the 5 Canillejas Line, and Torre Arias, however, are located approximately 2 kilometers away.
By metro, the journey from the center takes about half an hour. The metro is active every day, from Monday to Sunday, from 06: 00 to 02: 00 at night. You can travel with a single ticket from 2.00 €, and with one or more days travel passes. More info from here.
In addition, numerous bus lines are located near the stadium. The closest to the stadium are 23, 38, 48, 140, 153, 286, 288, 289, E2, N5 and N6.
HOW TO GET TO WANDA METROPOLITANO BY CAR
Public transport in Madrid is highly efficient, and we therefore advise against reaching the stadium by car. Who, however, wants to reach the metropolitan Wanda with his own car, must take the M-40, and exit at Arcentales.

The stadium, after all, is a short distance from the airport, and you won’t have any particular difficulty starting, or arriving, in a short time.
