Riga Airport

Located in the small municipality of Mārupe, about 10 km from the capital, Riga Airport is the most important and busiest airport in the Baltics.
Opened in 1973, the airport is the hub of AirBaltic, SmartLynx and Wizz Air, and is managed by the Ministry of Transport of Latvia.

Over the years, it has undergone numerous modernization and expansion operations. Today, it has three Terminals (A, B and C), where you will find all the essential services. There are food and beverage outlets, ATMs, shopping, duty-free areas, car rental agencies, and more. Excellent assistance for people with reduced mobility. Inside the building, electric wheelchairs are available, in limited numbers to be booked on the official website. As soon as they arrive at the airport, the Airport staff will be available to those who requested it.

RIGA AIRPORT – CENTER CONNECTIONS

BUS

The line 22 of the local public transport, connects, every day, the airport with the center of the Capital. The parking is located outside the Arrivals Hall, well indicated inside the building.
Lidosta Riga (P133), is the terminus of bus 22, which ends the journey to Abrenes Iela, the last stop after the Central Station.
The service operates from Monday to Friday, from 06.15 to midnight, from the airport, and from 05.40 to 22:30 in the opposite direction.
Saturday and Sunday, from 06.20 to 23:45 from the airport, and from 05:45 to 23 05 from Abrenes Iela.
On weekdays, there are up to 10 trips per hour, at peak times. During holidays, frequencies range from a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 20 minutes.
Tickets can be purchased on board for €2.00.

INTERNATIONAL BUSES

Many private companies offer connections between Riga Airport and numerous Baltic and Eastern European destinations.
Lux Express, and TOKS, for example, offer international connections in modern and comfortable buses, at fairly inexpensive prices. You can reach, for example, Minsk, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Warsaw, or Vilnius.

TAXI AND CAR

Outside the terminal, on the arrivals side, you will find the official taxis. A reliable and not excessively expensive service, with which to reach the center of the capital in comfort.
The journey takes about 20 minutes. Obviously, the duration depends on the traffic.
Taxis are easily identifiable from the sign and, from the taximeter, clearly visible. On the right side of the vehicle, you will find the price applied by the TAXI indicated!
We invite, however, to ascertain in advance the rate applied.

Alternatively, you can rent a car at the airport. By booking from this link, a little in advance, you can take advantage of advantageous rates.
At the airport, you will find 3 parking areas, for a capacity of around 1500 cars. As soon as you leave the airport, you can cross the P133, connected with the European road E22.
