The spectrum of Covid-19 looms across Europe, and around the world. The various governments are taking all the necessary measures to contain the number of infections. Which means that many of March’s most anticipated events could be canceled; or, in the best case, postponed.
Here is the situation regarding the main Coronavirus risk March events; that is, all events, and festivals, which could be affected by Covid-19.

FALLAS DI VALENCIA: CONFIRMED.
It is one of the most anticipated events in Valencia, and Spain. At the moment, the government is investigating any restrictions in particular in the areas of Madrid and the Basque country. The line adopted is to avoid creating unnecessary profits for the economy
To date, the Fallas de Valencia are confirmed.
TOMORROWLAND WINTER: CANCELED
The decision was now in the air but now it has become official. Tomorrowland Winter 2020 has been permanently canceled. Moreover, the French government had already decided to cancel all events with over 5000 people in a confined space. Numbers in hand, more than 20,000 should have taken part in Tomorrowland. At the moment, the facilities and ski lifts in the area remain open.
Staying in France, Garosnow, in Luchon, which should start this weekend, and Snowboxx, at the end of the month, are confirmed at the moment.ekend, is also confirmed.
DUBAI FOOD FESTIVAL: PARTIALLY CANCELED
The Dubai Food Ferstival is taking place these days, despite the fact that many Emirati events have been canceled or postponed. Among these, the awaited AKS COLOR carnival in Dubai, which was supposed to take place on Friday 06. The Taste of Dubai, one of the most important collateral events of the DFF2020, has also been canceled. It should have taken place from 12 to 14 March 2020, closing, as always, the Dubai Food edition.
KEUKENHOF: CONFIRMED
The flower festival will take place regularly, starting on March 21st. There is currently no Coronavirus alert in the Netherlands. Moreover, the organizers specify that the event should only take place during this period, when we are witnessing the maximum flowering.
BBF: CONFIRMED
The Barcelona Beer Fest, an event dedicated to beer lovers, will take place regularly, with the ‘blessing’ of the Agencia de Salud de la Generalitat. Appointment in Barcelona from 13 to 15 March 2020.

SAINT PATRICK: CONFIRMED WITH RESERVE
The most important holiday in Ireland coincides with Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations on March 17th. The event attracts numerous tourists from all over Ireland and Europe. There is still no official news. At the moment, Tony Holohan, the chief medical officer in the Department of Health, has spoken out favorably.
“At present, and based on our risk assessments for this country, we see no implications for the St. Patrick’s Day parade.”
BASEL CARNIVAL: CANCELED
The Swiss government has decided to ban all events with over 1000 expected spectators. And unfortunately, the expected Basel Carnival has been canceled.
This morning, a hundred people gathered in the city to celebrate (and cry) the Carnival.
GENEVA CAR SHOW: CANCELED
Nothing to do for the important car show which, this year, will not open its doors to visitors. The event has been permanently canceled.
