The Bus Line A Express Airport, recommended by us, is the express bus line that connects the airport to the center in 15 minutes without stopping. The bus can be taken at the airport arrivals Terminal T3, ground floor and arrives at the Malaga bus terminal. The ticket can be purchased directly on the bus, in cash only, at a cost of €4.00 per person, and allows free luggage transport.
Alternatively, you can use the cheaper Intercity Bus – Line M-135 Málaga-Santa Amalia, which connects the airport with Alhaurín de la Torre, Málaga and Santa Amalia.
The line is active every day, from Malaga from Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to 20:30 (frequency every 3 hours) and on Sundays from 09:00 to 15:00 (every 3 hours); from Santa Amalia, from Monday to Saturday, every hour from 07:00 to 22:00 and on Sundays, every 3 hours, from 07:30 to 13:30.

The C1 line of the suburban RENFE TRAINS connects the airport Terminal T3 with the center of Malaga, the Estácion de Ferrocaril Maria Zambrano and various locations on the Costa del Sol: Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola. Tickets from €1.80 up to €2.70 depending on the distance.

Always prefer public transport to taxis and cars, thanks to the lower environmental impact and low emissions. Anyone wishing to use the car to visit Malaga and the destinations of the Costa del Sol can opt for an ecological electric car. The slightly higher cost will always be offset by the fuel savings.

Getting around by taxi can be quite expensive. On the outside, the vehicles are easily identifiable by the logo and the presence of the taximeter. Remember that all taxis always apply a surcharge of €5.50 for departures and arrivals from Malaga Airport. There are also surcharges for the transport of bulky luggage.
