Hamburg Airport

Hamburg Airport, is the city’s international airport, just under 9 km from the center of Hamburg. It is one of the largest airports in Germany, in the top positions for passenger traffic. Modern and efficient building, it houses, inside, bars, restaurants and shopping areas. There is no shortage of international cast food chains, newsstands and duty free. Free and free Wi-Fi is available practically everywhere.

There are two terminals built in the shape of a wing and connected to a central building, called Plaza Airport. In the latter, the shopping areas are concentrated. Hamburg Airport is connected with major European and world destinations.

HAMBURG AIRPORT CONNECTIONS

The S1 S-Bahn underground line connects the airport with the center of Hamburg in just over 20 minutes. The stop is located right in front of the Terminal. It is easily accessible, in a short time, by lifts, escalators and moving walkways.

The rides depart in front of the Terminal every 10 minutes and the one-way ticket costs €3.30. All day tickets for the Hamburg network are also valid. Tickets can be purchased at the numerous vending machines in the station and in the area. Please note that the ticket MUST be validated before embarking on the journey.

With the S-Bahn, you can reach Hamburg Hauptbanhof, Hamburg’s train station in just over 20 minutes. From here, you can reach some of the main destinations in a short time.

For Lübeck, it takes less than 40 minutes to get there; prices starting from 14.80€. With the regional train, in about an hour, you can get to Bremen. The InterCity Express ICE, on the other hand, connects Hanover in just under 90′ with prices starting from €39.
