Granada Airport

Federico Garcia Lorca airport is a small international airport serving the city and province of Granada, in Andalusia. From the 2006 it was named after the famous poet and playwright of Granada. It is located approximately 17 kilometers west of Granada.

Rather small in size, it has a single track and a single terminal. In recent years, there is a passenger traffic of the order of 700.000 units. Numbers practically halved within 10 years due to the abandonment of the routes operated by RyanAir. Only one duty-free, it is present inside.

At the exit, in front of the Terminal, is the bus station. The connection from the airport to the city is guaranteed by the company Consorcio de Transporte Metropolitano – Área de Granada. The bus makes all strategic stops, like Avenida de Andalucía, the Central Bus Station, Gran Vía de Colón e Paseo del Violón, near the Palacio de Congresos.

The full journey takes about 45 minutes. The bus is active every day, including Sundays and holidays. From Granada, from 05:00 to 21:45; from the airport, from the 06:00 to the 23:20. The frequency of the races is about an hour.
