Tarracoviva takes you to discover the ancient walls, the Roman aqueduct, the amphitheater and all the splendid monuments of Tarragona.
This year, Tarracoviva celebrates the 26th anniversary. An extraordinary cultural festival, born more thon 20 years ago, with the aim of spreading the city’s heritage; to make citizens and visitors aware of the importance of preserving historical heritage. Tarragona is a truly magical and evocative place, in a stretch of coast particularly loved by tourists.
Tarracoviva is the ideal opportunity to discover this fantastic city, in the middle of spring, far from the crowds and the summer chaos.
So you can appreciate these places full of history and meaning.
The festival lasts 2 weeks, and offers lots of events and entertainment.

PRACTICAL INFO
HOW TO ARRIVE AND MOVE
Tarragona is easily accessible by train, car and plane.
Reus International Airport, is located about 12 km from the center, well connected by bus.
Rail connections are very frequent. From here, regional trains, Express, and the Talgo and Euromed lines pass.
From Barcelona, about 100km away, it takes an hour by train to reach its destination.
For the historic center, and the numerous locations of the Tarracoviva, one moves only on foot. The distances are rather small.
TARRACOVIVA 2024 PROGRAM
As per tradition, the event offers a calendar full of events, over the 2weeks. This year’s theme will be “The Mediterranean in Antiquity: A Sea of Cultures, Encounters and Conflicts“.
There will be suggestive concerts of ancient music, in spectacular locations. Demonstrations of ancient games, and equestrian competitions. Film reviews focused on archeology. And again, workshops and creative workshops.
Of course, the festival is also an opportunity to discover ancient recipes paired with delicious wines.
A very interesting festival, and never banal.

WHERE TO SLEEP
Pigal is the perfect solution, with an excellent quality-price ratio. It is located in the city center, just 100 meters from the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona, and 5 minutes walk from the Tarragona train station.
Bright and heated, rooms include a private bathroom. A buffet breakfast is served in the dining area.
In 10 minutes walk you can reach the old town, the bus station and the beach of Tarragona.
You will be able to take advantage of a private parking, and of the free wifi line throughout the building.
