Rock Am Ring 2026

From 1985, the year of its debut, to today, Rock am Ring is an unmissable event for all lovers of rock and metal music. On the legendary Nürburgring car track, near the town of Adenau, in the Eifel, this event takes place which gathers hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the world.

A feature, probably unique, is the simultaneous organization with a sort of sister festival: Rock Im Park. Same dates and same artists. To change, in Rock Im Park, is only the location: the splendid Nuremberg! Often, the two events are considered a single event.

Every year, on the extraordinary stage of Rock Am Ring, the best bands of the world rock scene perform. From here, great names of international music such as U2, Aerosmith, Smashing Pumpkins, Metallica, Megadeth, Van Halen, Linkin Park, Iron Maiden have passed.

Unforgettable, the performance of Metallica, on 03rd June 2006, with Hetfield & Co. who played all the songs of “Master Of puppets”, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary. An absolutely unmissable show!

In 1989 and 1990, the festival was not organized due to the well-known German political vicissitudes following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Today, the festival is one of the most important, and followed, in Germany and Europe.

PRACTICAL INFO

HOW TO GET

The best way to get to Nürburgring, home of the Rock Am Ring, is by plane. Frankfurt-Hahn and Cologne-Bonn are the two closest airports. Cologne/Bonn Airport, is just under 100km by car, while Frankfurt airport, about 160 km. From both airports it is possible to rent a car to reach the destination. Parking costs 79€ for the entire duration of the festival.

For those who want to use only public transport, you can use the official Shuttle bus. From Cologne Airport and from Cologne there will be 2 daily departures, both at 11:00 and 18:00. From Frankfurt-Mainkai, 2 daily connections on the same days, at 09:45 and 16:15. Tickets can be purchased online on the official website of the Festival. From Bonn UN Campus, 2 daily connections at 11:35 and 16:35.

Monday 08th June 2026 connections in the opposite direction. Every hour, from 08:00 to 11:00 in both directions. The costs are the same as the outward journey.
