New Years Eve London, 31 December 2019. Info, fireworks, parade, clubs

New Years Eve London

All the charm of the capital, on the longest night of the year! The New Year in London is an endless party. The whole city is preparing for the celebrations for the arrival of 2020.

You can wait for midnight, in the shadow of the famous Big Ben, the most famous clock in the world, admiring the spectacle of fireworks that light up the Capital. All with an upturned nose, contemplating one of the most spectacular and exciting shows of the year, along the banks of the Thames.

It will not be easy, however, to take part in it. Given the huge turnout, the Government has decided to set up a special ticket for £ 10 per person. Tickets for the show are available from September, exclusively on the official website, from this link. Registration and selection of the viewing area is mandatory, among 5 available; each of them offers a splendid view of the whole context.

Each registered user can purchase up to 4 tickets.

New Years Eve London

The banks of the river, between Westminster and Tower Bridge, are taken by storm from 4 pm to secure a place on the Southbank; Kanoa remembers that the bridges are closed for safety, as soon as they become too crowded, first of all Westminster Bridge.

A quieter but evocative way to enjoy the Fireworks spectacle is the Thames Cruise; you can board one of the boats that leave from Westminster Pier; the ticket includes dinner with background music and then the discotheque on board while the boat navigates to Greenwich; in our opinion this is a romantic (and particularly EXPENSIVE) solution that will guarantee you a front row seat.

NEW YEAR’S EVE IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE

Trafalgar Square is one of London’s iconic locations. In the large square, in addition to admiring the large sparkling tree, you can wait for the New Year in London by dancing in the crowd. Outdoor DJ sets, shows, shows and toasts with friends, couples and families.

CLUBS

In the city of nightlife for excellence, you will have a choice to say the least ample among clubs and discos, ideal above all for the young people who want to celebrate the arrival of the new year, unleashing and dancing until dawn.

Moondance is a nice option for those who love hardcore and house music, with five rooms that can accommodate over 3,000 people. The legendary Egg (200 York Way, Kings Cross) offers celebrations in the Caribbean Carnival style, with music, costumes and total white with 4 rooms.

The Mad Hatters Tea Party in Camden Town is the right place for live music and fantastic DJ sets. Fabric New Year (excellent house music and electronics) in Charterhouse Street.

PARADE

The celebrations, of course, are not limited to December 31st. The following day, at 12:00 from Piccadilly, the waiting and colorful LNYDP (London New Year Day Parade) starts. About 10,000 costumed artists give life to an incredibly colorful show, including musical bands, floats and hot air balloons.

The route runs along Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, Lower Regent Street, Waterloo Place, Pall Mall, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Parliament Street. A fantastic show for adults and children.

And don’t forget to check out the LNYPD Street Food Village. An entire area set up at Waterloo Place, at the corner of Pall Mall. Active 01 January 2020, from 11:00 to 16:00, offers many gastronomic specialties.
