This year it will be the turn of the unforgettable Totò to rise to the role of authentic protagonist. 50 years after his death, May of Monuments 2017 honors the prince of laughter Antonio de Curtis, aka Totò.
‘O Maggio a Totò is the title of the event. Events, performances, shows, concerts, tourist routes … in relation to the theme of the event. Obviously, there will be other fantastic initiatives. May of Monuments 2017 is above all the occasion to rediscover treasures hidden in the marvelous Naples, opened in an exceptional way
PROGRAM
There are over 200 initiatives on the bill during the period of the event. All really interesting. Among the most exciting and unmissable, we highlight, first of all, the Totò Genio exhibition, a true starter of the extraordinary exhibition. The genius of Totò, and his relationship with cinema, television and advertising.
Do not miss the musical performance of 05 May, in Piazza del Carmine. Exceptionally, the Band of the Carabinieri will be the protagonist, with an extraordinary musical tribute, right in the place where the funeral of the famous Neapolitan artist took place.
In the beautiful Church of the holy Annunciation, do not miss the exhibition “Pinocchio in the heart of Naples”. Photography enthusiasts, on the other hand, will be able to admire at the PAN, one of the most famous photographers of the ‘900, namely, Helmut Newton; a master in immortalizing female figures. And, many guided visits, of sure impact, to the Cemetery of the Fontanelle and to the suggestive, and beautiful, Marine protected area submerged Park of Gaiola.

Naples is well connected with Italy and the rest of Europe, thanks to an excellent infrastructure system. By plane, you can arrive at Naples Capodichino International Airport, from the main European cities and capitals.
