WHERE: Bollenstreek, Netherlands
WHEN: from 17 to 21 April 2024
The Netherlands is a truly wonderful land, to be admired at any time of the year. For many, however, the best time to visit it is undoubtedly Spring, in the company of daffodils, hyacinths and tulips, for an authentic explosion of scents and colours.
Bollenstreek, in this sense, is the perfect place to admire the bulbs in all their splendor. This region, located in the western Netherlands, offers a perfect mix of beaches, lakes, dunes and… fields of flowers.
It is precisely in this splendid district that the renowned Netherlands Spring Festival takes place every year and attracts thousands of tourists for about a week.
The highlight of the event is, as per tradition, the Bloemencorso which will see fascinating floral floats parade over a route of over 40 km from Noordwijk.
Furthermore, during the festival you will be able to admire the art of floral decoration up close. Or watch an evocative illuminated parade.
And, if you were to reach Haarlem, you will have an excellent excuse to visit nearby Amsterdam.
