Unmissable appointment for those who spent Christmas in Bruges. On 24 December, at midnight, many people gather for mass in the church inside the Begijnhof in Bruges.

This winter, a romantic ice rink awaits you along the central area of ​​the Minnewater. Many call it the “Lake of Love” for its romantic and relaxing atmosphere.

Open every day, from Sunday to Thursday, from 11:00 to 21:00; Friday and Saturday, from 11:00 to 22:00. On 24 and 31 December it closes at 5pm. On Christmas day and January 1st, however, it is open from 14:00 to 20:00.

The ticket costs €6.00 for adults and children. Free admission for babies under 3 years old.

You can follow two different illuminated trails. A walk starts from the Stationsplein to get to the Minnewaterpark. Another, instead, starts from Stationsplein and arrives in Zand passing through Albertpark.


If you intend to celebrate the arrival of 2022 in the city, the appointment, as per tradition, is set for 10.45pm in Zand. Orchestra and choir will sing a show that will warm your heart.
The stands and the bar nearby are ideal for a drink or a snack.
