Go to Bulgaria

Bulgaria: a magical land, to be discovered in every corner. For those planning a holiday in this wonderful land, here are some valuable info about the best period to go to Bulgaria.

The country enjoys a continental climate, characterized by rather cold winters and hot summers. However, frequent climatic changes may occur during the year. This is mainly due to the shape of the country and its position, especially in the Danube area.

The Capital, is probably the city where the winter cold makes itself felt more; as, moreover, the area to the north, on the border with Romania. In the south, however, by approaching Greece and Turkey, temperatures are never too low. The coldest winter months remain January and February, especially when the icy currents coming from Russia expire. In suitcase, always with sweaters, warm clothes, scarf and gloves.

When to go to Bulgaria
Autumn and Spring have pleasant temperatures, albeit with frequent changes in temperature. Starting in May and throughout June, afternoon thunderstorms are frequent.

BEST MONTH TO GO IN BULGARIA

June is, in absolute terms, the ideal period to visit the country. Temperatures are never extremely high and rainfall is not too abundant, although the afternoon thunderstorms are frequent. This is the ideal time to visit Plovdiv and the splendid Valley of the Roses, which, at the beginning of the month, is in full bloom. This is also the period for the first baths in the waters of the Black Sea, where temperatures are not particularly low.

THE WORST PERIOD

Winter is definitely the worst time to travel in Bulgaria. February, in this sense, is one of the coldest periods and is rather discouraged in case you want to visit the country, and go around the city.
