Here, as elsewhere, be sure to sample typical products such as Chäsbängel (cheese fondue sandwich) and traditional sweets like Magenbrot or Mässmogge. Petersplatz, with its stalls, is especially suitable for lovers of local crafts. Münsterplatz, with its Cathedral and beautiful Ferris wheel, is one of the landmarks of the area, much loved by visitors. THE FESTIVAL LOCATIONS The Basel Autumn Fair takes place, as per tradition, in seven different areas of the city:Rosentalanlage, Messeplatz, Hallenmesse, Münsterplatz, Petersplatz & Hääfelimäärt, Barfüsserplatz, and Kasernenareal. Each area hosts different rides and attractions, as well as the inevitable stalls selling a wide variety of products.
