Baku Airport is the main international airport of Azerbaijan, named after Heydar Aliyev. It is located about 20 km northeast of Baku.
With over 4 million passengers in transit, every year the airport is among the 20 busiest airports in the old USSR.
Hub of the national airlines Azerbaijan Airlines and Buta Airways, it has 2 passenger terminals and 2 Cargo terminals.
The T1, recently built, replaced the old Soviet terminal, completely demolished. Today, it is a modern and efficient building, equipped with all comforts and services. He was awarded the 5-star Skytrax, one of the highest awards, for the quality of the services offered by the airlines!

BAKU AIRPORT – CITY LINKS
A modern expressway quickly connects the airport and the city of Baku, in a journey of about 20 km.
For those arriving by car, several parking areas are available with a total capacity of over 1600 cars.
BUS
BakuBus is the local company that manages transport in the Azerbaijani capital.
As you exit the Terminal, you will find the bus station for Baku.
Airport Express is a convenient fast bus service, operating 24/7. It connects the airport and the Koroglu metro station.
Tickets can only be purchased in cash at the specific BakuCard Terminal machines.
Bakucard is a special RECHARGEABLE CARD that you can use to travel beautiful Capital. You can recharge it in cash at the machines, with the desired amount. Cost 2AZN (about 1€). For every trip, including the one with the Airport Express bus, you pay just 0.30AZN.
Always remember to validate the card at the special machines, before starting the journey.
TAXI
Outside the T1 Arrivals Hall, there is the Taxi station, easily accessible following the directions.
Generally white, with checkered bands, they accept payments in cash and by credit card.
Rates are not high. Find out the cost of the trip in advance.
According to the current regulations related to the Covid-19 pandemic, we remind you to always respect the interpersonal distance and to wear the appropriate protective tools for the nose and mouth.
The entry on the aircraft, currently, is staggered. The number of seats on board is limited in relation to the capacity.
