The best way for getting around in Asti is, without a doubt, on foot. Thanks to a compact historical center, it is well preserved, you can walk around, and admire the city beauties.
Also recommended for those who reach the city by train and by car.
The central station, in fact, is located in the center, a short distance from Piazza del Campo. Just near the latter, and nearby, you will find many parking areas where we recommend leaving your car.
Booking a room in the city center, in this sense, will allow you to move on foot around the city, even during important events.
ASP Asti Public Services, is a multi-utility company that manages public transport and mobility in cities, and neighboring municipalities.
The buses connect all the quarters of Asti in a capillary way.
Five of the 6 urban lines in service intersect in the Central station
Railway, the main hub for city interchange.
Buses run from morning until late evening.
To travel on urban public transport, you can use the simple travel ticket, or day ticket.
Subscriptions are only available in the monthly version and therefore not recommended for short stays.
The simple racing ticket allows you to make transfers within 90′ of the validation (mandatory). It costs €1.20 in the single version, and €10.00 in a 10 ticket booklet.
The day ticket costs €4.00 and allows you to make unlimited trips throughout the day on city buses.
