ON FOOT
On foot you move exclusively to the center. Otherwise, use of taxis or buses is recommended.
Attention above all to the heat that, during rush hour, can become really suffocating.
CAR
It is certainly not the ideal way to getting around Abu Dhabi. Like, for that matter, in the United Arab Emirates.

GETTING AROUND ABU DHABI BY TAXI
The preferred way to move in Abu Dhabi. Generally silver-colored, with the yellow symbol at the top, they are available in practically every area of the city; in particular, in the most central places.
If at the top of the cab, they have red lights on, it means they are not available. The price starts from 6AED, to which must be added the rate for each kilometer traveled.
Taxis at the airport, are the most modern, and also the most expensive, with prices starting from 25AED, plus 1.60AED for each kilometer traveled.
BUS
In the city circulate 24 lines, active every day, including Sundays and holidays, from 05:30, up to 23:30. The frequencies of the races are attested, in general, around the 30 minutes. On some lines, however, buses run every 60′.
There are also three other Line, 022 (Al Maqta), 065 (Al Reem City Of Lights) and 067 (Al Reem Shams), with terminus for Al Marina, active 24 hours on 24, every day.
The X2, X3, X4, X5 express buses run a fast service to Al Maqta, to the bus interchange station.
There are, then, other lines with which you can move to Abu Dhabi, in the entire region or the international airport. Many vehicles, modern and comfortable, are equipped with Wi-Fi and low floor for people with reduced mobility.
TICKETS
The tariff system is rather simple. For travel on city lines, the single-fare ticket costs 2AED per person, while for regional lines the cost is 4AED.
In addition to the simple ticket, you can use the multi-trip card, with credit to climb.
The monthly ticket, valid for 30 days, costs 80AED per person instead.
GETTING AROUND ABU DHABI BY FERRY
In addition to surface transport, you can take advantage of a convenient maritime transport system between Delma Island and Marsa Jebel Al Dhanna. The service is offered by the Department of Transportation, however, considering the distance (over 200 kilometers), it can not be considered a real means of transport in Abu Dhabi.
There are three trips a day, except for Friday, where the races are, instead, 2.
The cost of the trip, with a crossing time of about 90 ‘, is 20AED per person, and 100AED for the vehicle.
