Best beer festival Belgium Poperinge Bierfestival 2025 WHERE: Poperinge, BelgiumWHEN: 25th and 26th October 2025 Music, food, fun and … rivers of beer. And, in the background, one of the real capitals of hops. Here are the reasons why you shouldn’t miss the Poperinge Bierfestival, event now in its 28th edition. The Festival takes place in the Belgian town of Poperinge, 150 km from the capital. The Poperinge Bierfestival, in addition to a rich program and a varied program, is known above all for its welcoming environment, obtaining numerous awards. So much so that it is considered the most beautiful beer festival in all of Belgium, and has become a point of reference in the context of national festivals, with a decent following of foreign visitors. During the two days of the Festival, 25 of the best producers will offer the best varieties and qualities of beer. In total, there will be about 100 different, strictly artisanal labels. You will have the opportunity to get to know the techniques and information on production from the various master brewers. And, as per tradition, a couple of new beers will also be presented on this occasion. The occasion is really tempting to try something special and unique, with many performances and live music to accompany the event. PRACTICAL INFO HOW TO GET TO THE POPERINGE BIERFESTIVAL Poperinge is located near the French border, about 150 kilometers from Brussels National airport and 170 from Charleroi airport. From both airports, by making at least two changes, it is possible to reach the city by train. Our advice, once you land at the airport, is to rent a car. The venue of the Festival, as usual, will be the Maeke Blyde event hall, at Doornstraat 43. Here, you will find a rustic and welcoming place, and a large bar with soft drinks and snacks to satisfy everyone’s needs. The railway station is about 800 meters away. The nearest bus stop is Poperinge Markt, about 350 meters away; lines 24, 51, 60 and 61 pass through here TICKETS AND TIMETABLE 2025 Admission to the festival is free; you will only pay for what you consume. To participate, a security deposit of €5 will be required which includes the purchase of a commemorative glass. It will be your fantastic souvenir. The drinks are paid in tokens; the latter can be purchased at the checkout at a cost of €2 each. Keep in mind that several drinks cost two or more tokens. Also available is the STARTER PACK which at a cost of €15 offers 1 glass and 6 tokens. The festival is open Saturday and Sunday, from 2.30pm to 11pm PROGRAM 2025 Beer, of course, will be the star, but there will also be room for music and entertainment. The last two editions have been animated by The MG’s Brothers & Blue Jerry and DJ Gregoire, an artist already known for his performances at Hoppefeesten, Lekker Westhoeks, Winter in Poperinge and MarktRock WHERE TO SLEEP Poperinge is a beautiful town in Flanders, ideal for relaxing even for a couple of days. Finding a facility here, or in the immediate vicinity, can be an excellent solution. In town, De Zevende Zon is our favorite. For less than 90€ per night you are guaranteed a splendid double room with breakfast included. On the contrary, if the Festival were only a “hit and run”, Brussels, about 150 kilometers from here, is the best solution for quality and quantity.
