Timetables Noordermarkt The tradition of the market, in Amsterdam, has roots well rooted over the centuries. There is no vacation in the Capital, without having set foot in one of its typical markets. Even for simple curiosity. The city boasts one of the largest open-air markets in Europe, Albert Cuyp. The first example of the floating market in the world, Bloenmarkt. And many others. Places that, over the years, have not been able to resist the tourist attraction, losing a bit of the charm of the past. Noordermarkt in our opinion, it remains one of the most interesting markets in Amsterdam. One of the few that has managed to maintain, as far as possible, the atmosphere of the past. On the other hand, it is a market with almost 400 years behind! In the seventeenth century, Noordermarkt was a ceramic market in which tools and objects for everyday use were sold to the inhabitants of Amsterdam. Over the centuries the market has evolved to take on its current character. Located in the Jordaan district, Noordermarkt is a creative and dynamic market where you can find a little bit of everything. Decorative objects, artifacts, used items, books, flowers, antiques. And, of course, lots of gastronomy and organic products. Cozy, lively, but, at the same time, less crowded than other markets in the capital. Let yourself be carried away by the soul of this market, among colors, perfumes and invitations from merchants to buy. One of the top markets in Amsterdam. PRACTICAL INFO HOW TO GET The market is located in the square of the same name, in the Jordaan district. You can easily access public transport using the 3 Tram line, getting off at the nearby stop Nw. Willemsstraat. The latter is also accessible by people with reduced mobility. From the bus stop, the market is just under a kilometer away. NOORDERMARKT OPENING HOURS The Noordermarkt market takes place two days a week. On Monday, appointment from 09:00 to 13:00. On Saturdays, however, from 09:00 to 16:00, focusing mainly on the sale of organic products. TIPS Noordermarkt is the right place to do some good business. Especially in the flea market. Rummaging, who knows you can not find the right article! In the square, you will find many shops and bars, ideal for a break, or to stop for lunch. There is no right time. As crowded as you can, you will be able to go around in complete tranquility among the various stalls.
