SHOPPING  |  CONTACT  |  NEWS  |  SUBSCRIBE ENG   ITA   ESP ENG   ITA   ESP Park Guell, UNESCO heritage, most beautiful places in Barcelona Park Guell Park Guell is a wonderful public park with an open-air museum inside. It is one of the symbolic monuments of the city, as well as one of the most visited places in all of Catalonia. An extraordinary complex that extends for about 17 hectares, including gardens, paths, beautiful mosaics and splendid architectural elements, which are perfectly integrated into the landscape. Alone. In pairs. With family or friends… the Park is a milestone during a holiday in Barcelona. Here, you will find the most famous Salamander/Mosaic in the world, reproduced in hundreds of thousands of souvenirs. There is even a copy inside the wax museum! Park Guell represents one of the greatest expressions of the genius of Gaudi. Its extraordinary creations contained in the complex have not gone unnoticed by UNESCO. In fact, in 1984 the Park was declared a World Heritage Site along with the other 6 buildings in the city. PRACTICAL INFO HOW TO GET THERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT The park is located in the upper part of the city, not far from the elegant district of Gràcia. With the Metro (Line 3 – Green) you can get off at the Lesseps or Vallcarca stops, and along a rather steep slope (absolutely avoid heels !!). Urban buses (lines D40 and H6) are probably the most convenient way to get to the park. From the Travessera de Dalt stop you can arrive in 10 minutes through Av. Del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya (route that also has escalators). WHAT TO SEE The main entrance is located in the lower part, and then close to the center of Barcelona. Here are the two fairytale and imaginative entrance pavilions. Casa del Guarda was designed by Gaudí to be the support of the Park keeper. The monumental staircase houses the famous salamander with mosaics. Given the crowd of visitors, it will be a real challenge to be able to take a picture without the presence of other tourists (here more than any other area of the Park). Park Guell also hosts the & nbsp; Doric Temple, that is & nbsp; a forest of 88 columns and, above all, the Banc De Tracadis: the long bench covered with ceramics in Plaza de la Naturaleza. With an area of approximately 2700 square meters, this splendid square is the real beating heart of the entire Park. PARK GUELL TIMETABLES AND TICKETS The complex is open all year round, from Monday to Sunday (including holidays), from 09:30 to 19:30. From 01 June to 31 August it is open from 09:00 to 19:30. The ticket costs €10 for adults and €7 for children. You can buy it directly online on the official website. Alternatively, with the BCN Card you can buy the ticket with a 20% discount. Tibidabo Barcelona

Tibidabo

To Be seen

SHOPPING  |  CONTACT  |  NEWS  |  SUBSCRIBE ENG   ITA   ESP ENG   ITA   ESP Tibidabo, the most spectacular view of Barcelona. Park and Church Tibidabo Spectacular. Only. Exciting. Difficult to find different adjectives to describe the view of Barcelona from Tibidabo. From the top of the Hill, and its 512 meters, you can admire the whole of Barcelona. A truly impressive view that is lost for tens and tens of kilometers. A beauty that would not have gone unnoticed even by the most astute of figures. “All this I will give you … if only you will adore me”, in fact, the Devil temptator would have said to Jesus, according to a legend. The beauty of the landscape. The trails. The presence of the oldest amusement park in all of Spain and the beautiful Sacred Heart … here are the reasons why you should visit Tibidabo during your holiday in Barcelona. It will be less touristy than Park Guell, the Sagrada Familia and many other attractions but, not for this, it is less important. A place dear also to a certain Woody Allen who shot some memorable scenes of his “Vicky Cristina Barcelona“ in these parts. PRACTICAL INFO HOW TO GET THERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT The Park is located on the outskirts of Barcelona. There are no direct connections to the city center. Allow for 2 changes and about 90 minutes (or even more) for travel by public transport. With the S1 and S2 lines (which pass through Plaça de Catalunya and Gracia among other things) you get off at the Peu del Funicolar stop. The latter is directly connected to the Vallvidrera funicular which connects the lower part with the upper part by direct route (about 3 minutes). At the exit of the funicular, go up to the right and almost immediately find the 111 bus stop to get to Tibidabo. Alternatively, you can reach your destination with the Tibidabo funicular (currently closed for renovation) which connects the lower station of Cuca de Lum. WHAT TO SEE AT TIBIDABO SACRED HEART The name, the dominant position on the hill and the beauty bring to mind the Sacred Heart of Paris. A comparison that is anything but risky. The Church is truly majestic and offers a truly impressive view. Two opposite flights of stairs lead to the upper part and from here, an elevator and a short flight of stairs lead to the top up to the Christ. It is the highest point you can access. Admission to the church is free. Only the lift is subject to a fee (costs €5 per person). PARC D’ATRACCIONS An evocative playground which, however small, retains an extraordinary charm. It is still the oldest amusement park in the country! The games, with the inevitable Carousel, can be counted on the fingers of the hand. A ride on the Ferris wheel is a must, with spectacular views of the city. The ticket price for the Panoramic area and the rides is not exactly cheap: €35 per person. Children from 90 to 120 cm pay the reduced rate of €14. The ticket includes the trip by funicular. Times vary according to the calendar. Attractions are generally open from 11am to 8pm.
