HOW TO GET TO GOZO

Gozo can be reached by ferry from the nearby island of Malta. The latter, therefore, represents the reference base for those who wish to arrive at their destination.

PLANE

The best way to get to Malta is, of course, by plane, landing at Luqa international airport.
The airport is well connected, with direct flights, to the main European destinations, and is served by fast and reliable public transport.
With the X1 fast line from the airport, or the 42 line from La valletta, you can reach the village of Cikrewwa and the ferry terminal.
By purchasing the ticket on board, you will pay 3.00€ per person for the single bus journey.

FERRY

Gozo Channel is the Maltese shipping company that offers connections through the Gozo channel, connecting the two islands.
Every day, in high season, there are connections from the port of Cirkewwa, in the northwestern end of the island of Malta, to Mgarr.

In high season, from June to October, a non-stop service is guaranteed for 24 hours, with frequencies generally of 45′.

The standard fare ticket costs 4.65€ per person. For departures from Mgarr after the 20:00, you pay the nightly rate of 4.05€.
Children from 3 to 12 years, always pay the reduced rate of 1.15€. Free for children under 3 not completed years.
It is possible to transport vehicles, bicycles and motorcycles, paying the relative fee. For the bicycle the price is 1.15€; for motorcycles, the standard rate is €8.15 (€6.95 for overnight transport). For the car, you pay €15.70 (€12.80 at night); the fare includes the ticket for one person.
