Nightlife in Berlin: Weekend, Berghain, Club Der Visionäre, and more.

Nightlife in Berlin

Do you want a multicultural city, with a frenetic nightlife and always on the move? Well, you’re in the right place. Berlin is right for you; a metropolis that never sleeps, where many local 24 hours are open on 24. A varied choice, suitable for all tastes and needs: you can have dinner even after the 23; the nightclubs fill up not before midnight, some pubs and cafes never close.

In the evening, you can try to have fun at the theater or with a cabaret show, very popular here.

The Berliner Ensemble (Am-Bertolt) located at Brecht-Platz 1, is the most famous theater in the city; founded by the late playwright Bertolt Brecht, it is accessible by taking the U-Bahn / S-Bahn metro; you have to get off at the stop Friedrichstrasse. If instead you are lovers of the comedies and musicals, do not miss to spend an evening at the Ku’damm, in Kantstrasse, 12; you arrive by U-Bahn or S-Bahn going down to Zoologischer Garten.

NIGHTLIFE IN BERLIN: THE CLUBS

The view of East Berlin is quite original and alternative with locals often without large signs that open and disappear without warning! It is in this area that you can listen to live music just about everywhere and almost every night; from rock to blues, from jazz to soul, from folk music to disco music.
And it is precisely in the eastern part of the City, particularly in the Mitte district, that the best offer for lovers of “Clubbing” is proposed. This is where the best of nightlife in Berlin is concentrated. Pretty affordable prices, and exceptional quality, with an incredible offer: there are almost no 200 !!!

Precisely in this area there are numerous locales, among which we mention the Weekend.

The restaurant is located on the fifteenth floor of Alexanderstrasse 7. When you reach the top with the elevator you will be catapulted into a place with cubes and black walls, a bar counter and the dancefloor in the middle of the room. Excellent music. Go there in the summer because in this period the Roftop Garden is open, the terrace with a breathtaking view of the whole city.
To get there, take the U-Bahn, stop at Alexanderplatz. For more info, you can consult the official website.

Another area of great popularity for nightlife in Berlin is represented by Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, and in particular in the Schlesisches Tor. A more varied offer than the previous one, and with a large number of artists and immigrants, even if, over time, like Mitte it has become an extremely touristy brand zone.

Today, the area is extremely popular in the Gay & Lesbian community of Berlin. Prenzlauer Berg (around the Eberswalder Strasse station) is also an area of great interest, as are the Charlottenburg clubs in Potsdamer Platz. The Watergate, safe and, above all, the Club der Visionäre, they are truly excellence in the techno / underground scene.

WATERGATE

Tourist place located at Falckenstein Strasse 49, very popular: good names behind the console and an excellent techno offer. Many fear him for the rigidity in the selection at the entrance! The prices are a bit ‘higher than the competitors, settling around € 15. Suggestive view: seeing the sunrise from the Watergate is one of the most beautiful experiences you can experience in the nightlife in Berlin.
You can get there by taking the U-Bahn, Schlesisches Tor stop.

TRESOR

At Köpenicker Strasse 70, stands one of the oldest techno clubs in the city. A real industrial giant. It was the most popular and frequented place during the fall of the Wall and before it changed its location, going from that of Leipziger Strasse to the current one. You arrive by the U-Bahn metro, stop Heinrich Heine Strasse. For more information and program, it is available the official website.

CLUB DER VISIONÄRE

At Flutgraben 1, our favorite, in the panorama of nightlife in Berlin. Fantastic in the summer because it fully sums up the Berlin atmosphere of this period.
Do not expect a frenetic nightclub: it’s a quiet environment (as a club could, of course) on the Spree, in a wooden structure, where in the afternoon you can relax drinking a cocktail or a beer and the other. In the afternoon, except for exceptions, you enter free and without a line. In the evening you pay between the 7 and the 10 euro, there is the usual impressive row and you make a decent selection. You can get there by taking the U-Bahn, Schlesisches Tor stop. For more info and program, you can consult the official website.

Do you want the 1 number among the locals throughout Berlin, if not the world? Then take the S-Bahn, get off at the Ostbahnhof stop and arrive at Wriezener Bahnhof 70. If you are lucky, you will be able to enter the Berghain, the undisputed temple of the locals of the techno / underground scene. At the Berghain Panorama Bar, we at Kanoa have dedicated a special article that we invite you to read.
