Getting around Alcobaca on foot, by car and by bus. Info, bus tickets

Getting around Alcobaca

The only way to get around Alcobaca, in the Monastery area, is on foot. To reach, instead, the nearby seaside resorts of Sao Martinho do Porto or Nazaré, you can use the car and the bus.

If you arrive in the city by bus, from the station (Av. Manuel da Silva Carolino) you can easily move on foot. The Monastery is just a few minutes’ walk away. The other (few) points of interest (ruins of the Castle, Jardim do Amor) can be reached in about ten walking distance.

Arriving by car, park at Av. Dos Combatentes 2460. The area is located near the bus station. After leaving the car, you can walk around the small town center.
